U of A Ballroom Dance CLub

September 5th: Ballroom Club Expo
We will use this night to familiarize new members with club, as well as allow returning member to get back into the swing of things.
September 10th: Start of Ballroom with our instructor, Jesse. It’s Waltz/Rumba night!
It will be our first night back for the club! Beginners will go from 9-10pm. Intermediates have their lesson form 10-11pm.
September 17th: Intermediate Level Check
During the intermediate lesson Jesse will be watching just to make sure that everyone is still at a good level to keep the intermediate lesson up to pace. We will have a re-evaluation at the beginning of every semester so if it doesn’t work out this semester, you can always get re-evaluated next semester.
Determination of Levels
Beginners are considered to be newcomer dancers, as well as bronze level dancers. We are running things a little differently this year, which means that we will be running the class levels based on the DVIDA syllabus (i.e. bronze v.s. silver) this year instead of years in ballroom alone.
Intermediates are considered to be a year or more experience at upper level bronze and above. During our second week of class Jesse will take a look and just make sure that everyone is in the class they need to be in. We will let you know if there’s any concerns. Every semester there will be a re-evaluation so we will keep checking in!
