Delta Chi Lambda Rush ~~~
What is Rush?
Rush week is comprised of events that give interested new recruits a chance to get to know the ladies of Delta Chi Lambda and ask any question they may have of the organization.
When is Rush?
Rush usually takes place during the first few weeks of the semester. If you're interested, you should get a flyer from us on the UA mall.
How much does it cost?
That's the best part. It's completely FREE!!! There is no charge at all to any interested girls. Come to our FREE events every night and just get to know us.
If I go to rush week, do I have to join?
Rush week is just a time to make new friends and learn more about our sorority. We understand that joining and being part of a sorority is a big decision and is not for everyone. However, you will never know unless you experience it for yourself. Rush week gives interested girls a chance to experience it. Attending Rush week does not require you to join. In the same respect, attending rush week does not necessarily mean you will receive a bid. There are no obligations at all from either party (the Rushees or the Members).
What is a bid?
A bid is a formal invitation to become a new recruit and go through the recruitment program. Rush week is not only a week for interested girls to get to know the ladies of Delta Chi Lambda, but also a chance for the sisters of Delta Chi Lambda to get to know the Rushees.
So say I am interested, when will I know if I got a bid?
Rush chair will inform all Rushees when they will be notified of an invitation to join the new recruitment program. Rush Chair will keep in close contact with all the girls who would like to further their involvement in Delta Chi Lambda.
I heard that there are two Asian Sororities on Campus?
Yes, there are. Alpha Phi Gamma is another Asian sorority that is present at the University of Arizona. Delta Chi Lambda encourages all interested girls to check both groups and if possible to attend both rush weeks. Each organization on campus has their own individual characteristics, goals, and purposes. Within the two organizations are individuals that possess unique attributes that they may contribute to their sorority. We encourage that if you're interested in becoming part of either sorority, you search and find where you feel most comfortable and where your attributes are most suited for.
