Arizona Receives 2004 National Bid

After a tough and grueling season the Wildcats have to play four more games in their quest for the Collegiate Club National Championship. The Wildcats received an automatic bid to Nationals after winning the 2004 Southwest Conference Championship. This is the Wildcats third conference championship in a row.

In the first round of the Conference Championship, the Wildcats faced Colorado School of the Mines and won decisively 18-2. In their second round game they faced conference rival, University of Colorado, Boulder. This was the second time these teams have met this year. In the first meeting the Wildcats put a whooping to the Buffs beating them 33-1. Boulder was looking for revenge, but came up way short losing 15-4. This win advanced the Wildcats to the championship game where they met the University of Utah. In the first two meetings the Wildcats beat the Utes, 18-7 and 13-9 respectively. Utah was looking for some redemption. The Utes played the Wildcats tough for the first quarter, but the Wildcat's defense and killer counter attack proved to be to much. The Wildcats beat Utah a final score of 13-5.

The Wildcats have two weeks off and they travel to the University of Notre Dame, where they begin their run for a National Championship.
