Men's Water Polo Loses to Cal Poly in Semifinal Match Up
| After winning their first two games in the Club National
Championships, the Wildcat's championship dreams were put to screeching halt
after their 8-10 loss to Cal Poly. Cal Poly came out strong against the
Wildcats getting an early 4-0 half time lead. Poly extended this lead to 6-0
early in the third period. The Wildcats could not put anything together on
the offensive end until the middle of third quarter. However, the Wildcats
made a final surge in the fourth quarter outscoring Poly 6-2, but it wasn't
enough.
The scoring for the Wildcats is as follows: Acedo 2; Snell 1; Delorenzo 2; Dunnam 1; Qualls 2. The Wildcats move on to the third place game where they will be facing the loser of Yale, University of Michigan game. |
