Minutes for Meeting of 11-13-96

Upcoming hikes:

Third Semestorial(?) Hike for Wimps!! This is official! Josh (795-6892) has the distinguishable honor of leading this 'C+' hike on Sunday the 17th. Will leave around 10am. Josh says he will post the destination for the trip shortly.

Erich (621-3994) plans a car camp/hike this Saturday the 16th. One highlight of this trip will be a meteor storm on Sunday. Please call if interested!

Loretta plans a Sunday hike (11/24 the week after next) to Tanque Verde. "B+" She will probably leave about 10am.

The Ramblers face hard days to come... We regret to say that Kristen Kassapis, our treasured super-VP, will be resigning her position effective next semester due to circumstances out of her control. We are sorry to see you leave, Kristen, and hope you can still manage to have fun without the Ramblers :-) I'll bring a card so that everyone can sign it for you!

Thank you to everyone who has helped us with the adopt-a-family program. We collected $43.00 so far! That's really a lot!!! This money will be used to purchase foods for our adopted family as a Thanksgiving--giving. At the next meeting I'll ask again for contributions. Also, I hope to recognize everyone who helps out in the Daily Wildcat, so if you didn't sign the sheet at the meeting, Email me (see below) with your name!

Everyone should drop by the Library and pick up one of their handy-dandy cards with which you can receive a big discount at the Ice skating social next Wednesday. They are available at the Photocopy center. You will get a free skate rental and admission will be $5! Don't forget to meet at 7pm after next week's meeting!! Last time we went we had a blast! You might even win a thousand dollars! Don't forget to bring pants and thick socks!

Loretta and Erich may have their slide show of Australiea December 11th. Information will appear in the Wildcat.

A note from Loretta (620-1875): If any are planning trips to the Grand Canyon for Spring Break, be forewarned that you should acquire a permit as soon as possible or you may not make it!
