Announcement:
Thank you to everyone who has helped us with the Adopt-a-Family program. We collected $50.00 total!!! That's really a lot! This money will be used to purchase foods for our adopted family. I hope to recognize everyone in the Daily Wildcat, so if you didn't sign the sheet at the meeting, Email me (see below) with your name!
To Frank Zaltos and Jose Arispe (I hope I have your names right!): We are honored that you came to our Ramblers meeting! Frank and Jose were presidents of the Ramblers' Hiking Club in the '70's. They visited us this past meeting and told us a lot about the history of the hiking club. Please feel free to visit us again! We look forward to it!
Todd (326-3455) spoke of a public meeting he attended this past Monday. There is a proposal to include 9000? acres of additional lands to the Tortolitas area before a major developer is able to build a gated community there. Todd has questionnaires from the meeting that he can provide you. As a hiking club, it is truly in our interest to promote the protection of this area from additional development! Please get in contact with Todd or come to the next meeting which is scheduled some time around the beginning of 1997 to voice you opinion!
A note from Loretta (620-1875) If any are planning trips to the Grand Canyon for Spring Break, be forewarned that you should acquire a permit as soon as possible or you may not be able to get one!
Loretta and Erich are still planning on a slide-show about their trip to Australia. They will probably have this near the beginning of next semester.
I'm sorry to say that the Ice-skating was canceled! Too many of us could not make it, but hopefully we'll arrange another social before Kristen leaves... Does anyone have any ideas about other cool places we could go for an afternoon?

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!!
