Minutes for Meeting of 02-19-97

Howdy Hikers! Here're the minutes from the meeting today (Short meeting):

Last weekend Hikes:
        Sunday:
Ian and others went on a one way hike starting at Sycamore
Canyon and anding at Sabino Canyon. Ian rated it as a
"C- or D." He said it was all downhill on nice paths.

Loretta and Josh hiked to the Gem Show, where Loretta
bought her first rock. She rated the hike as a "C" and
said that it was a lot of fun.

The Tortillinas Hike was cancelled due to the illness of
                the leader.

Ron hiked with some friends up Esperero Trail from Sabino
Canyon. He posted the info on that hike in a previous
message. He rated that hike as an "A."

There was also a camping trip outside of Douglas about
3 hours from Tucson in Whitmore Canyon. It was said to
be a great trip. (Unfortunately, I don't recall who was
                on that trip.)

The fundraiser had almost no support because members could not
find the booth. Apparently the vendor kept his own hours and moved the
booth to different locations on the mall from day to day.
