Minutes for Meeting of 05-07-97

Hi Ramblers!!

To all new members:

The Ramblers' Hiking Club is a non-profit organization. We do all sorts of things from hikes and backpacks to community services! There are no dues and everyone is invited to attend the meetings. In general, all hikes meet in the parking lot behind the Park Student Center and all meetings are held near the Cactus Lounge in the Memorial Student Union. (http://www.biocom.arizona.edu/ramblers/rooms.htm) Hikes are ranked on a scale of (A,B,C)

Past Hikes============
Dave, Todd, and Brian went on a bushwack to Montrose Canyon. If you saw Brian's legs, you know how successful they were.

Upcoming Hikes=============
Bill (2908572) is leading a hike to 7 falls on 5/14. Meet PSC @ 10:30 am and bring plenty of water.

Josh is leading the Mexico trip! It will be over Memorial Day Weekend. 4-days, Friday evening through Monday evening. Destination = Porto Lobos ?? Call 7956892

Think you're a tough hiker? Ross is leading a backpack (so far a solo backpack :-) form the PSC today (5/8), 4pm, to Esperero Trail. Return Saturday. Camp along the way. call (6951636).

There will be an end of the year Ramblers putluck parranda at Ross's new home. Ross will post his address and directions as soon as he knows them. The party is scheduled for Sat.17th @ 9pm. The results of the survey will be complete and prizes awarded at the party!
