Minutes for Meeting of 10-15-97

Howdy Hikers!

Well, midterms are almost over! That's why I'm posting the minutes a little later than normal.

Meeting called to order at 5:05pm with all officers present.

LAST WEEKEND'S ACTIVITIES:

Erich took 4 other people to the south-west side of the Dragoon Mts. For an overnight trip. He used the word "interesting" a lot as he described the canyons and petroglyphs. He said they did a lot of bushwhacking. He said the last group that went up to the highest peak was back in May. So the area is not well-worn. They got back to the cars just after sunset. The trip overall was "very interesting."

Loretta's "Mystery Trip" was to the 7 falls on Sunday. She had 10 people on that hike. She said it was a nice, easy hike. No one was brave enough to go swimming though because it was pretty cold.

Chris took another person to the Box Spring Trail on Tuesday. He said that after their hike they were fortunate enough to make it to the Mt. Lemmon Café for a slice of pie.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES:

The Rocky Point Trip (24-26 Oct) information sheet was passed out at the meeting. If you need a copy, contact Loretta.

Kent had the permits for Onyx Cave (19 Oct) at the meeting. You should have signed your permit immediately after the meeting if you were going.

Loretta has declared that December 3rd is the final date for T-shirt designs. The winning designer gets a free T-shirt.

See you next week!
