Minutes for Meeting of 05-13-98

Hello everyone!
To those of you who have finals, good luck! We will continue to have meetings every Wednesday at 5pm in room 283 so come if you can.

Erich went to the Upper Palisade Trail and Lizard Rock in the Catalinas over the weekend, and there is still snow up there!

Todd and Matt went on a backpack to the Bear Wallow Wilderness in the White Mountains. Elk, birds and even a coyote were spotted. It snowed on them for an hour and a half on Friday! There drove further north on Sunday and then came back.

Everyone else was studying or partying over the weekend (I hope the former!)

• Boboquivari(?) Sat. 5/16 Contact Chris if interested verac@u.arizona.edu This hike is rated an "A" and involves some climbing.
• Gila Wilderness Backpack Fri May 22 6pm-Mon 25 Carl 882-2634 This hike is rated an "A" due to elevation and distance (25-30 miles total).
• Rincon Mountains Backpack Fri May 29-Mon June 1 Ross This is a four day backpack rated an "A" and will visit Mica Mountain and Rincon Peak. Please contact Ross ASAP if you want to go due to permit availability.
• West Fork Oak Creek, near Sedona Fri June 5-Sun June 7 Carl 882-2634 This is also rated an "A" because it will be exploratory and there will be rock climbing. Please contact if interested
