Minutes for Meeting of 12-02-98

Hello

Today's meeting was called with 9 members and three officers. It looks as though everyone's Thanksgiving went well.

Previous hikes:

-Jon, Wolfgang and I spent Thursday, Friday and Saturday in White Canyon. There were many interesting rock formations and a lot of bushwacking. It is a spectacular canyon, hopefully we will go back again in the near future.

-Wit, Erich, and Hanna spent the weekend in the Kofa NWR. Long day hikes on Friday and Saturday. Lots of bushwacking through catclaw and cholla but well worth it.

Upcoming hikes

-Mike and Wit are leading a hike in the Catalinas this Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Departing from the Park Student Center. We will go up to Little Kimball and maybe Big Kimball through Ponatoc Canyon. There will be a 4,000 foot elevation gain and it will be about a 13 mile hike. Rated A- if you have any questions just respond to the listserv and we will be happy to answer them.
