Minutes for Meeting of 01-27-99

Hello everybody!

Big meeting today, 18 members showed up, including some new people.

Last week's activities:

-14 people hiked Esperero canyon on Saturday in the front range of the Catalinas. It was a good beginner's hike. Really warm weather.

-Wolfgang and four others went to Catalina state park on Saturday. They took the 50 year trail and the Sutherland trail for a total of nine miles.

-Erich went to Table top mountain this weekend. It is the closest volcano to Tucson, located near Casa Grande.

Upcoming hikes:

-Wit will be leading a hike on Saturday 1/30/99 to Soldier Canyon in the Catalinas. Leave at 10:00 a.m. Rated a C. Meet at the Park Student Center. wit@ece.arizona.edu or 721-8412

-Erich is planning on a camping trip to the Dragoon mountains in February or early March. More details to come.
