Minutes for Meeting of 03-03-99

Hello Ramblers,
Today's meeting was held with 9 members and the four officers present.
Announcements:
The next T-shirt design we receive will be the one that will be on this year's shirt, or if we get more than one, we will have a vote.
Last week's hikes:
-Dave led a hike to the Mule Mountains near Bisbee on Sunday. A short hike in terms of mileage but hard in terms of distance traveled at a steep incline. A tough bushwack that could have been made much easier if they knew about the trail earlier.
-Dale led a hike to the Butterfly trail in the Catalinas. An 8 mile hike.
Nice weather and trees.
-Erich went on a long (12 hrs) hike to Window Peak.
Upcoming hikes:
-For spring break, Jon wants to lead a hike to White Canyon four about 4 days. The dates are still up in the air, so if you are interested talk to Jon. jonh@u.arizona.edu . White Canyon is a great place to spend your spring break, I should know, I spent my Thanksgiving there.
-Loretta needs someone to remodel her house!
-Wolfgang is planning on a Organ Pipe cactus N.M. trip for late March or early April. Another great place. wolfgang@u.arizona.edu
-B.J. is leading a hike this weekend up Wasson peak in the Tucson Mountains. Leave Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the P.S.C (Park Student Center). Rated C+. bcordova@ag.arizona.edu
-Dave wants to lead a backpack up Sabino Canyon and to Catalina State Park next weekend. See Dave at the next meeting if interseted.
That's all folks
Phil Fenberg (Secretary)
