Minutes for Meeting of 04-14-99

Hey Ramblers,

Yesterday's meeting was held with 13 Ramblers and 3 officers present.

-B.J. passed around a T-shirt sign up sheet. They should be available at the next meeting. Be sure to bring your $7.50 for the shirts next Wednesday.

-We also need to think about room reservations for next semester. One possibility already mentioned is in the agriculture building on campus. Any other ideas?

-Wolfgang and Robbie went to the Organ Pipe National Monument for the weekend. They did a nice hike in Estes Canyon and in the Senita Basin. Great views of the stars at night, they could even see their shadow in the light from a planet.

-Jon and three others hiked in the front range of the Catalinas near the window, where they camped. Lots of nice snow in the area.

-Erich went skiing and snowboarding in Flagstaff.

-Ross, Joe and others hiked up the Pontatoc Ridge trail in the Catalinas and found an old mine.

-There is a Sky Island Alliance wilderness survey this weekend. They will be leaving at 6 a.m. on Saturday from the Water Resources building on the corner of Campbell and 7^th Street. If you have any questions contact Mike at 740-1579.

-Robbie still wants to go to Sedona, maybe on the 24th of April.

-Ross wants to do a short day hike on Sunday. If interested call him at 886-3001.
