Minutes for Meeting of 05-19-99

Ramblers Hiking Club meeting was held yesterday with no officers and 8 members present.

Liz, Kyle, and Wolfgang did a hike in the Santa Rita Mountains this past Sunday. They went up the Baldy trail to the summit, Mt. Wrightson, and down the Super trail. Wolfgang saw a rattlesnake, and also they found patches of snow and a rocky overhang, where there had been a rock slide.

Sunday Hike: Either Romero Canyon (B+, 14 miles) or Mt. Lemmon area, depending upon the weather. Meet at Park Student Center at 6:30AM. Contact Liz: crapoe@u.arizona.edu

Memorial Day Weekend Trip: Hiking in Arches National Park, Natural Bridges, Grand Gulch, Cedar Mesa, and Chaco Canyon. Contact and RSVP Joe Leisz: jleisz@ag.arizona.edu

Room change for meetings: New room is Forbes: Rm 229 (while Rm 307 is being remodelled). If anyone wants to announce or plan hikes, please feel free to post on the listserve.
