Minutes for Meeting of 11-10-99
Greetings Ramblers!
Announcements:
1.) Important: Unless otherwise announced, the meeting place for all
hikes is behind the Park Student Center, in the parking lot.
2.) We will be having our annual philanthropy activity, purchasing food
for a needy family in Tucson--through the Adopt-A-Family program and Parent
Aid. If you would like to help out, please bring a few dollars to next week's
meeting (11/17).
3.) Also, future meetings for the rest of the semester, will be held in Forbes
307. Signs will be posted in case you forget!

Past Hikes:
1.) Wolfgang's hike on Saturday to Sycamore Canyon (near Nogales) was a
great sucess, with many interesting geologic formations, plants, and
animals observed. The following were encountered: deer, quail, garter
snakes, a rattlesnake, a turtle, horned lizards, spiny lizards, fish,
tarantula, a patch of daddy-long-legs spiders (looked like fur covering a
rock), butterflies, dragonflies, hawks, other birds, and other lizards.
There were 9 people on the hike. Also, another wonderful sunset was
observed.
2.) Erich did a hike going up Sabino Canyon and down Bear Canyon on
Sunday.
