held in Forbes 307. Signs will be posted in case you forget!
2.) Important: Unless otherwise announced, the meeting place for all hikes
is behind the Park Student Center, in the parking lot.
3.) If anyone has any maps, hiking guidebooks, pictures, or other borrowed
items from "The Box", please contact Joe Leisz @ 621-9783 or e-mail:

you've got, who you are, and when you are planning to return it.
4.) If anyone else wants to borrow stuff, see Joe after the meetings each
Wednesday or drop by his office (Forbes: Room 325) to check things out
as needed.
Past Hikes:
1.) Wolfgang led a hike into Sycamore Canyon (near the border with Mexico)
this past Saturday. It was a day with great weather and opportunity to
see many interesting plants and geologic formations. They split into 2
sub-groups, with 1 group returning earlier. The other group continued
up another interesting side canyon, crossed a ridge with an excellent
view, and returned, via another side canyon of that side canyon.
2.) Liz, Kyle, and Andy did an over night trip to Organ Pipe Cactus
National Monument, doing the Estes Loop with a side trip up to the Mt.
Ajo summit. They saw the Sea of Cortez at sunset, hawks, ravens,
squirrels, small arches, and intriguing volcanic cones.
3.) Steve did a hike up to Hutchess Pool on Saturday.
