Minutes for Meeting of 07-26-2000

Hello Ramblers!

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.) Important: Unless otherwise announced, the meeting place for all hikes is behind the Park Student Center, in the parking lot.

2.) Future hiking club meetings, during the summer, will continue to be held in the Forbes building lobby, in case Forbes, Room 307, isn't available.

ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING LISTSERVE:
Since several have sent messages requesting to be removed from the listserve, here are several simple steps to remove oneself from the listserve:


1.) Send an E-mail message to listserv@listserv.arizona.edu.
2.) Leave the subject space empty.
3.) In the body of the message, type:

unsubscribe ramblers

4.) Send.

There is a web page to refer to http://listserv@listserv.arizona.edu for additional information.

Note: No one else, other than the subscribers themselves, can remove their own names from the listserve.

PAST HIKES:

1.) Steve and 5 others did a hike in the Wilderness of Rocks, in the Santa Catalina Mountains, starting at Mt. Lemmon. They saw hawks "diving" through the air, and stopped at the Mt. Lemmon lookout, where they had good views of the mountain ranges and Tucson.

2.) Robbie was in the Rincons, at Manning Camp, and did other hikes in the range. He saw 2 Arizona Black rattlesnakes and a king snake.

3.) Matthew did a hike up the Esperaro Trail to Bridal Vail Falls, but didn't see any water flowing down the falls.

FUTURE HIKES:

1.) Wolfgang is interested in leading another hike up Ramsey Canyon, in the Huachuca Mountains. The tentative date is Sunday, 8/6/2000. Contact Wolfgang at .
