PAST HIKES:
1.) Robbie did a short hike in the west side of the Tucson Mountains.
2.) Rachel did a hike up Blackett's Ridge this past weekend.
3.) A group of 20 people went on the moonlight hike on Friday night. Since
it was quite bright, they did not need flashlights.
Report from Steve:
I led a large group (19 members) up Blackett's Ridge Trail in Sabino Canyon
Rec Area last Friday evening for a moonlight hike. Although the full moon was
Wednesday, there was plenty of light to see the trail, and the group was
treated to watching the moon rise on the way to the trail while on Speedway.
Steve Slocum and Tricia departed early and encountered a rattlesnake just off
the trail on the way back. Most members made it to the end of the trail and
were treated to a impressive view of Sabino and Bear canyons bathed in
moonlight. The group split here, with some spending an hour or more at the
top, two camping out and the rest returning to PSU by 2:30 am.
4.) Massimo and Torsten, instead of going to Hutchess pool, since they did
not want to take the tram, went to 7 Falls instead.
5.) Jon was at Kartchner Caverns on Tuesday, and he also stopped at Ramsey
Canyon for a short hike.

ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING LISTSERVE:
We would like to welcome all the new people to our listserve; however, for
those of you who may not be familiar with listserves, here are some
guidelines to ensure proper etiquette:
1.) Stick to club business when you make a post.
2.) If your message is only intended for one or two people on the
listserve, please send it to them personally and not to the entire
listserve.
3.) Be extra careful when replying to a post -- make sure that you reply
only to the person who originally made the post, and not to the entire
listserve.
4.) Remember, there are over 200 people, who will get your message, if you
post it to everyone, so try not to "spam" them, and they will do you the
same courtesy.
It looks like we have a nice list of many great plans for hikes and other
trips in the future. If anyone wants to add and post additional
announcements for any hikes, etc., please feel free to use this listserve.
Meanwhile, enjoy Arizona and keep Rambling!
