Grand Tetons National Park, and Havasupai Canyon.

Our new officers are as follows:

Treasurer: Anne
Vice President: Susan
President: Dan

Congratulations yall!

Past Hikes:

Mitch did a solo hike last weekend to Linda Vista from the Finger
Rock Trail in the Santa Catalina Mountains. On the way to the trailhead,
he saw some javelina on the road. He met Ranger Dave Earlsberg, who
hikes to Mount Kimble at least once a week. Mitch pointed out that this
guy really knows his stuff. He said that Dave could clearly hear the
distinctive clap of bighorn sheep.

A fella (didn't record name, sorry) had done a weekend hike in Grand
Canyon National Park. He hiked the Grand View Trail. He saw large birds,
which may have been ravens or pterodactyls.

The flake I am, I was late to my own scheduled hike, and no one stuck
around. I was planning a sunset hike to Desert Peak. As far as I know
only one other person showed and left ten minutes before I arrived.
I'm terribly sorry. I'll post this same hike for another time for the
Nature Club, but Ramblers can come along as well. I promise to show
up this time.

Future hikes:

There will be a hike in the Santa Rita Mountains this Sunday from the
base of Madera Canyon to Mount Wrightson. Trail rating is A, since it
is lengthy and there is a large gain in elevation. The hike will take
much of the day.Meet Ross at the West parking area of the Park Student
Union at 9:38, but RSVP first. Another option if you live on the East
side of town, you can meet with Mitch for a carpool.
Contact Ross: 325-5912, Contact Mitch:547-2996.

Contact Michael if you are interested in Canyoneering for 3 days in
Northern Arizona or Southern Utah. Let him know what dates work for you.
