Minutes for Meeting of 11-06-2002

HOWDY RAMBLERS-
    -Ramblers meet every Wednesday at 5pm in the Forbes Bldg. in room 307.


    -Hikes meet in the parking lot behind Park Student Union (PSU) unless
otherwise stated. During the weekend these spaces are available for public
use.


    -Don't worry if you don't have a car. We carpool from PSU.


PAST HIKES:
    -Hanna led a group of six to Tucson's 16th annual Celtic Festival last
Saturday. They arrived around 10am and left around 4pm. They watched men
and women compete in various athletic events that consisted of throwing around
 heavy objects (among other things). Fortunately, no one in the Ramblers
group was hit by any wayward heavy objects or light ones for that matter.
The various bands were also quite interesting. There were bagpipe bands and
regular bands that sang, as well. To fully experience the "Celticness" of
it all, everyone enjoyed some meat pies before returning home.


FUTURE HIKES:
    -Will, possibly, will be leading a hike this Sunday. All details, such
as time and destination will be announced later this week.


    -Dan is planning an overnight trip for Thanksgiving weekend, Sat. November
30th and Sun. December 1st. The location is TBA. However, the likely location
is Turkey Creek in the Gila Wilderness. The entire trip is still subject
to change but a MANDATORY RSVP will be required by November 14th. Keep on

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
    -If you have pictures of any of the Ramblers outings, please bring them
to a meeting ASAP. We are looking for pictures, preferably ones with people
in it, for our ASUA funded flyers.
    -If you have an idea for a T-shirt design please email Dan or bring it
to a meeting ASAP. It can be a drawing, humorous slogan, etc. There will
