Minutes for Meeting of 11-05-2003

Hello Ramblers...here are the Minutes from the past two weeks smashed together
and put into one...

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

****Steve's got the permits for the Grand Canyon trip over Spring Break.
There's six spots saved for those who RSVPed with him earlier.

****The T-shirt contest has been postponed until next week. Steve was the only
one to bring in a design, which was great by the way. But we want to give the
opportunity for others to bring in theirs....Hana???

****Oooohhh...the Matrix. Steve is having a party tonight, watching the Matrix
Reloaded, ordering some food, and then heading down to see the third Matrix
(hopefully???)....have fun guys...

****Will would like everyone to know that the Javalina's are amock in Tucson.
just an FYI

PAST HIKES:

**Not last weekend, but the one before Steve led a group of seven people up
Pima Canyon. Before getting to the second dam they all hiked down into the canyon
and stopped in an area of pools, rocks, trees, and Joe found himself a
wonderful green catepillar...yeah for Joe..

**Me...Aisling went up to Cave Creek for the weekend (my home) and did some
hiking. On Friday and Saturday I hiked Pinnacle Peak. A wonderful trail that I
hike, it's 4 miles long in a pretty residential area. We are lucky to have the
area to go and play around in once again. And then on Sunday I went up Go-John
trail in the Cave Creek Recreation Park (i think that's what its called). This
was very pleaseant, nice vegetation. All green and stuff...

**Andreas (forgive me if i didn't get your name right) went up Picacho Peak.
And enjoyed it Im sure.

FUTURE HIKES:

***On Friday night Steve plans to go on Blacket's Ridge in Sabino Canyon for a
moonlight hike...He wants to meet at the wall at 8PM

***The Ramsey Canyon trip has been delayed for at least another weekend. Steve
is waiting for the area to get a little more fall color...So maybe there will
be a trip for next weekend.

***Another possibity for the weekend (after the moonlight hike) is a camping
trip in the Mount Gram area, again Steve's plan.

I'll see you guys next weekend...until then...adios amigos...
