Minutes for Meeting of 09-15-2004

Howdy Ramblers,

The club meets every Wednesday at 5pm in 307 Forbes. Our website is
http://clubs.arizona.edu/~ramblers and we are trying out a yahoo group
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/azramblersclub (mostly for pictures and
possibly posting stuff on the calendar).

FUTURE HIKES

Will has postponed the Atascosa hike until cooler weather, but is still
planning on doing some hike this Sunday. Look for an announcement on
the list.

Steve may do a hike this weekend if his out of town business falls
through (again, look to this list).

PAST HIKES

1. Steve led a group of 6 to Lemmon Pools on Saturday. He was happy to
see the pools are untouched from last year's Aspen fire, are not filled
with sand and there is clear, cool (some of the group said damn) cold
water flowing through. A few photos have been posted on the Yahoo
group, in the Photos section.

2. Andreas led 12 on a hike in the Chiricahuas on Sunday. They hiked
the Heart of Rocks trail in the monument and noted that it cost $5 PER
PERSON to enter. It was quite hot and they took many rests going around
the loop.

ANNOUCEMENTS

We have a few new officers for this year including

President: Jerrod
Treasurer: Andrea
Secretary: Mary (just kidding ;)

Steve took a poll of people interested in a 4 day Grand Canyon
backpacking trip over Thanksgiving, and will look further into a
possible trip.
