Weekly Minutes


                  This Week: September 15, 2009


Thank you those who came out on Monday! We had quite a large turnout.


1. Dues were due yesterday for the Club. If you have not paid the dues

remember all the money goes back to you in the form of T-Shirts

2. Speaking of T-Shirts so if you have any suggestions or ideas feel free to contact myself or Colleen.

3. The people who paid dues have been entered into a raffle of a 25 dollar Staples gift card

so we will see the winner of the raffle next meeting.

4. We talked about the Spring Fling and if anybody has any ideas on how to raise money

or what to sell, now is a good time to bring it up because the deadline is approaching.

5. Member projects-

A. Members showed interest in doing the San Carlos Relief Project and possible getting supplies

for the recent hurricane damage done to that area.

B. We talked about setting up a collection bin for "Worldwide Book Drive"

and possibly putting it up somewhere at UA.

C. For Fundraising Ideas, some members suggested a Percentage night at a nearby


6. Next meeting is speaker Ray Carolin, Executive Director of United We Stand Foundation,

He has visted Africa and has potential project signups for us.

7. Tom Tilton visited us and handed out Diamondback tickets but there is one catch...You have go

see the Colorado Rockies. Just kidding but he also handed out T-shirts and gave good

fundraising tips.

8. We hope to see everybody next meeting.


The Four Way Test
One of the most widely printed and quoted statements of business ethics in the world is the Rotary 4-Way Test.

The 4-Way Test was adopted by Rotary in 1943 and has been translated into more than a hundred languages and published in thousands of ways.
The Four Way Test says that of the things we think, say or do:

1. Is it the Truth?
2. Is it Fair to all concerned?
3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
