Constitution and Bylaws of University of Arizona
Students for Organ Donation
(UAOD)
The name of this organization shall be the University of Arizona Students for Organ Donation, hereinafter referred to as UAOD. The organization is a student organization at the University of Arizona.
The objective of this organization is to promote post-mortem organ and tissue donation on the University of Arizona campus and surrounding community. UAOD will do this by educating individuals on the issue, encouraging individuals to register as organ donors as well as giving them the means to register, and provide fellowship among students and faculty.

A. The Alumni Board will consist of former Executive Board Members who have made significant contributions to the organization as evaluated by the current members of the Alumni Board. The Alumni Board will serve in a consulting role to the current Executive Board.

Section 2: Selection of Officers
1. Any student, faculty, or staff at the University of Arizona is eligible to apply for an officer position on the executive board of UAOD. An application must be submitted by each applicant by the selection process date at the end of each fall semester. All officers will assume office for a period of one year.
1. Any member of the exec board may be recalled for reasons including but not limited to:
a. Absence of 3 meetings without excuse or notification to the president.
b. Failing to fulfill assigned responsibilities and duties as an officer set within this constitution.
c. Violating the rules and regulations set within this constitution.
d. Having a detrimental effect on the organization.
2. Recall procedures will be initiated at the request of five active members or if the president deems necessary.
3. A hearing will be conducted at the regular meeting for the presentation of evidence from all concerned parties.
4. A majority of executive voting in the recall at the end of the hearing is necessary to remove any officer.
1. If any officer position becomes vacant for any reason, the executive board shall call for and consider applications for a said position according to the provisions in Article V Section 2.
2. The president shall appoint, upon two-thirds approval by the voting members of the executive board, a
temporary officer to assume all responsibilities and duties until a new officer is selected at the end of the
fall semester.
3. If the president position becomes vacant, the vice president shall assume the office of the president. The
new president shall refer to part 2 above to fill the position of Vice President.
4. If both president and vice president positions become vacant, succession of remaining officers will be determined by a nomination process. Upon two-thirds approval by the executive board one individual shall be appointed president and the other vice president. These individuals shall be responsible for carrying out all the duties of these positions until a formal selection process (in the fall) can be initiated.
Section 1: Amending
This constitution may be amended by two-thirds majority vote of all eligible voting members.
Section 2. Voting Membership
A. All members who have participated in UAOD for two consecutive semesters are eligible for voting to amend the constitution and the installment of new officers.

This is a Not-For-Profit organization.
Section 2: Statement of Non-Discrimination
This organization shall not discriminate on the basis of age, color, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability or handicap, race, religion, sexual orientation, Vietnam Era veteran status. This policy will include, but is not limited to, recruiting membership, organization activities or opportunities to hold office.
Section 3: Statement of Non-Hazing
This organization will not conspire to engage in hazing, participate in hazing, or commit any act that causes or is likely to cause bodily danger, physical harm, or personal degradation or disgrace resulting in physical or mental harm to any fellow student or person attending the institution.
Section 4: Statement of Compliance with Campus Regulations
This organization shall comply with all University and campus policies and regulations and local, state, and federal laws.
