National Institute for Leadership Advancement (NILA) ---- Students (August 5-9, 2009); Professionals (August 7-9,2009) Fort Worth, Texas

SHPE's annual National Institute for Leadership Advancement conference for 2008 has come to a successful close.  This year NILA was held in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas at the American Airlines Training & Conference Center.

NILA is designed to provide chapter leaders, both student and professional, with advanced training in leadership and communication. Workshops include topics such as strategic planning, networking, and managing your chapter. This experience will allow you to walk away with tools you can utilize to enhance the value of yourself, your chapter, your community, and the organization as a whole.

HENAAC 21th Anniversary Conference ---- October 9 - 11, 2009
Long Beach, CA

Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) ---- April 9th-11th, 2010 San Diego, CA

SHPE stages regional leadership development conferences on a yearly basis for the leadership of the SHPE student chapters to improve their organizational, managerial, and technical skills. They take place in all of the seven SHPE regions.

This program helps college students develop and improve their pre-college outreach programs and improve the infrastructure of SHPE student chapters. Student leaders learn how to interact and network with SHPE's corporate supporters.
