2003 Update 3
University of Arizona Homecoming
This week (Nov. 3rd through Nov. 8th) is Homecoming at the
University of Arizona. We hope to see many alumni make it out and join
in the festivities.
Join us Wednesday
at Dirtbags and let us pick up the tab.
A message from
Ben Goot, our Alumni Relations Chairmain:
The events for this homecoming weekend include a tent
on the mall during the parade and the football game. The tent
will be open around 1130 and will be available until game time which
is 4pm. However, the parade is in the early afternoon, so
a majority of the people who visit the tent will be there around 1230.
Therefore, supplies may begin to run low towards the end of the
day so please keep that in mind.
In addition, those wishing to drink around the house,
please be advised that due to rules made surrounding sororities exposure
to alcohol, we will not be allowing ANYONE to drink at the house until
Friday. I'm sorry, but this is extremely important and will be heavily
controlled until Friday. I hope this does not inconvenience anyone.
Please get excited about this weekend because it will be great,
and we look forward to seeing you there. Thanks and if you have
any questions please let me know. - Ben Goot Alumni Relations
The past weekend
(Nov. 1) we had Treehugger, our camping datedash. Check back soon

some information about Parent's Weekend, Photos from the event and a
glossary of terms for parents not familiar with the Greek System. Also,

Spring
2003 Update 1
We are fast approaching midterms
and, more importantly, Spring Break. This semester's Greek Awards went
well for the chapter, with Delta Beta taking the following Awards:
Best Social Programming Award
Campus Involvement Award
Alumni Relations Award
Public Relations Award
Interfraternity Relations Award
Sophomore Greek Man of the Year (Dan Suh)
Junior Greek Man of the Year (Patrick Regan)
Senior Greek Man of the Year (Zach Sakas)
Dean Robert S. Svob Award for Best Overall Chapter
In addition, we also had both runner-ups in the Junior and Senior Man
of the Year awards.
Maybe saying the Greek Awards went well is a bit of an understatement,
with Beta winning over 50% of the awards that we were eligible to win,
simply dwarfing any other of the major houses.
In older news... Delta Beta is proud
to announce that we successfully rushed 12 gentlemen in the Spring 2003
Rush Season. |
